Copied program from laptop to Desktop pc ( both Windows 7) again but then I'm getting another message saying that the program hadn't closed properly and need to compact last file, this file FTM file. I contacted Ancestry, com who have suggested that this is not an issue with Ancestry but rather with recent updates made by Microsoft and a recent Windows Patch.I have the same program on a laptop and haven't connected to internet for some time so no updates have been done. I have the same program on an old laptop and haven't connected to the internet for a long time so have not had any updates and it is working fine. Please contact the publisher of this application for more information. I now get the following message Xenocode Virtual Desktop The application was unable to load a required virtual machine component. I use Family Treemaker 2010.Was working fine until a few weeks ago. It is unique and has a huge potential.Xenocode Virtual Application Studio allows you to virtualize and pre-configure your applications for instant deployment on the Xenocode system. On the other hand, Spoon is an excellent choice when you need to run old legacy programs on Windows 7 such as IE6 (to test sites, for instance). This can be a put-off for users who are on slow and bandwidth capped Internet connection. The service will further download additional files depending on what features in the program you use. For example, the prefetch size of is 48 MB. The prefetch size is hence smaller than the actual application size, and this information can be found under ‘Details’ in the application’s page.Įven then the downloads are usually huge. The applications usually opens after buffering 5-10% of the virtual machine payload. Although the website does state that “Apps can optionally be migrated to the desktop for offline execution”, but there is no information on how that can be achieved. Once you close it, you will have to restart it from the Spoon website. The only difference is, it is not installed in your computer. As soon as it is done, the program opens just like any normal application. The browser will start streaming the application to your computer. To run an application, visit the Spoon Apps library, locate the application you wish to run and click on the blue arrow icon or the ‘Start Now’ button. There are hundreds and hundreds of applications and games. With a change in name the service expanded it’s product line to a myraid of different PC applications ranging from media players, office suites, productivity applications, email clients, instant messengers and a variety of games. Initially, when Spoon was called Xenocode, the service was limited to only web browsers.
